Of All The Greens

The hues of green

All around me

As far as I could see.

I wonder what magic wand

Has touched these greens 

By all means!

Green of beginning and life;

Green of bounty and fertility; 

Green of youth and freshness;

Green of hope and tomorrow ;

Green of jealousy and greed;

Green of renewal and growth;

How many tints!

 Myriad shapes and forms 

Each with a distinct smell 

And a different story to tell.

Jumping with joy and bursting with life ;

Keeping still and teaching lessons

And swaying serene all at once!
