"This a poem from an adoptive mother's point of view. She is waiting for her adopted Son to be given to her"

It delves into her innermost feelings and thoughts as she goes through the painful waiting period.

My Son

I don’t know how far you are right now or whether you have even been born but I see you in my dreams each night.

I can’t feel you grow within me or sense your heart beats but my heart is overwhelmed each time the thought of you crosses my mind.

I have no idea what you look like but I know when I see you it will truly be love at first sight.

I will never know your mother but I pray for her every day and thank God for her every moment.

I have never even seen you but you will fill the hole in my heart that I never knew existed.

I wait for the day that I can hold you in my arms for I truly believe it will be the most beautiful day of my life.

I look forward to the day I can bring you home and lay you in your bed and know that you will be mine forever.

I yearn for a chance to sing to you and talk to you and show you my world, I can only imagine how much brighter it will be with you in it.

I count the days until I can hold your hands and kiss your cheeks and hold you tight and love you and protect you.

I pray that time might move faster so that you are here,

Where God has destined you to be,

At Home …….

So that I may call you my very own…..

My child……

My Son!
