My Family Vacation

Sri Lanka, a serene island

Is a clean and joyous land!

The people are of various religions, countries, and castes,

Always very active and fast!

The arrival day was just about settling down,

Exploring why the resort had a five- star crown!

Had a sumptuous dinner,

And slept till, at dawn, the sun was the winner!

The first day we went to Galle city,

Put the Galle Fort, and city in our travel kitty!

Saw a clock tower,

After which we lost all our power!

We then had pizza as a snack

And left for the spice garden like a pack!

Saw different spices and tried some of their products,

And left early because of our tired conduct!

Rose the next day to go for water sports,

But the ball was in the rain's court!

So we went to a turtle farm and then for lunch,

And headed back in a bunch!

Day three was again all travel,

On the roads made of gravel!

Came from Centara to cinnamon grand,

And went shopping in the evening as a band!

Good morning Colombo,

Went sightseeing in a jumbo!

Saw a Buddha temple, independence square,

Then went shopping to purchase something new to wear!

Got back to the room to rest,

And then the adults went to the casino, poshly dress!

Came back for dinner time,

After which we all slept at bedtime!

The next morning was when Lanka had the last few hours of our stay,

We were ready to go away!

We bid a final goodbye to the island,

And went back to our homeland!

All in all, it was an amazing trip as a group,

We enjoyed it like a troop!

Every moment was awesome,

Just like beautiful rose blossoms!
