My Blooming Flower
My Blooming Flower
The fear of letting go
To the ray of light
That brought warmth to my soul
Never did I know the color
Would be washed away
By them beads of sorrow
With one flip of a coin
My blooming flower faded out of existence
Turning every rose into soot
That stained the clear slate
Which changed my fate
Could only hope when the petals
Of my youth shed
The scar that once cut deep
Would be buried under the layers glee
Now I know I must fly across the
Liquid bubbling to swallow me
All by myself
Without seeking comfort from my nest
