Mumbai To Delhi
Mumbai To Delhi

They always ask the same question,
Day in and day out.
Once you shift from Mumbai,
To Delhi or the other way round.
Never do they once,
Go through the emotions,
That the people of both,
Cities have merely found.
The soul, the heart,
Of both cities seem one.
The people at large,
Caring about none.
Walking across different paths,
With equal hunger and dreams,
They cannot just wait,
For the work is to be done.
Who are these people?
They ask me.
For they have never been
On a majestic run.
Behind the buses,
After the trains or
Across the metros,
It all feels so fun.
I tell them to wake up
And breathe,
For the world is beyond
The illusions that they live in.
Beyond the realms of reality,
Lies a different universe,
One in which are the dreams
That we dig in..
