Mother's Day

Mother's Day

2 mins
22

In a world filled with violence and arrogance,

she tells to be forgiving and maintain acceptance.

She takes the utmost effort to stand out from the rest,

to be the most unusual person, with unusual thoughts and ideas,

those, which compel me to succeed…

That is my mother; when put to test she does the best…

As unusual she is, she has an even unusual motto:

“The day I get defeated, the day I win”

it means, the day I beat her in something, do better than her,

she wins in her heart; to sharpen me to perfection.

Mother…

you taught me to progress, progress constantly,

to ignore the distractions; pass the obstacles,

you made me braver, and able for future,

you prepared me for times when you won’t be available…

You shine from everyone… maa, you took extra effort to make me what I am today…

When everyone lived in a world of screen,

you took the effort to take me to storyland,

you introduced me to the magic of books,

how stories are written, and stories are told,

you developed my interest in books and stories,

you helped me realize; books are such a good friend!

You taught me to treat toys respectfully,

not to break them; have gratitude for them,

keep them clean and maintained,

you filled me with gratitude, for everything I got,

since my childhood, I never broke a toy…

She told me to respect humans, animals and plants,

to treat them with kindness; be it elephants or ants,

not to judge people by their appearance,

to listen to plants; to understand them,

to treat everyone equally, all living beings…

She told me to look through others perspective,

how they might feel, think at that moment,

to go in their shoes; to feel the situation through them,

she told me to understand them; consider their opinion…

When I feel like giving up on a task,

I remember what my mother says,

she tells me not to leave any task incomplete; take time but complete it,

this thought of hers has helped me till now; it applies for studies and story writing…

My mother is special because she stood out from the rest,

she accomplished in polishing me till I became the best,

she has the best ideas up her sleeve,

all you need to do, is just believe…

It is almost impossible to explore her,

to understand the depth of her imaginary hive,

but to start exploring is to just dive… deep into her world,

just dive…just dive…. Into her world…
