Modern
Modern
There were lonesome farmers in the meager farmlands,
And it soothed my heart and gave me hope.
In the river, floating was
Bottles instead of fishes,
And I could see the ignorance,
Of the Sophisticated and Polished of animals- Man,
And they claim themselves Civilized.
Few workers with their bare hands went right into the ditch,
And they were trying to make a living.
What more do we say and do,
Then take our eyes off the window,
And plunge ourselves into the screen to call ourselves Modern.
