Me and My Pen

 My eyes glint when I see you near me,

And my imagination goes on a spree!

How I dart and grab you in my little fingers,

To express what in my mind lingers!

You embrace me with all thy love,

And caress me, and sometimes shove!

Your hold makes me confident,

I adore the moment when you're present!

With you, I glance the world with an eye so different,

Invariably, attaining an idiosyncratic discernment!

Your touch sends me reverberation,

And I switch from conception to comprehension! 

But when you're not around me,

I feel very lonely!

The world I love disappears suddenly,

And something terrible surrounds me!

If this is what people call reality,

I'd rather live in my fancy!

Where you and I are together,

Forever and forever!
