Marsh Inside

A man has to kill the boy in him,

Because his woman has to feel protected.

A man's tear slips seldom:

He never shares his,

Even when hers is melting.

If a man wouldn't abide by such laws

And start crying

From the hard times, his wife would then bawl,

"You're soft! I will find one with brawns,

"A strong guy whom I could vent on."

A man foresees this cold answer,

And so he weeps alone,

Ashamed to even show

The pain; he keeps it cloaked with anger.

A man for sure loves his woman,

But only war and death love him.

He softens the world for his broad,

And dies with a burden in his heart.

A man tries,

He tries hard to put some food on the plates

As the world strives hard to pull him to his grave.

A man's best friend is pain,

Which he's kept in him caged,

As contempt and disdain filled his lone mind.

Because of it, a man often takes his own life.
