Love And Alzheimer

Love And Alzheimer

If I were to remember you,

I will remember by the face I knew

When you were young and so was I,

Our eyes would meet as we pass by

After school, our love was a secret

Till one day when we finally met.

If I were to remember you,

I will remember by the vibrant hue

Of your look on our wedding day,

When I mustered the courage to say

"I do", we kissed amid claps and cheers,

It has been since two and forty years.

If I were to remember you,

I will remember the person who

Stayed by my side through thick and thin

Until we were both wrinkled skin

And not by helpless look in your eyes

As your memory sever the ties.
