Life Is Just The Same

Life is just the same,

It goes on like it used to:

Mornings still scowl at my smile,

And the city still strips my time,

Life is just the same,

It goes on like it used to.

I wish life wasn't the same,

I wish some things would've changed:

I could lose my appetite,

I could shrink my size,

I could turn to alcohol,

I could write sappy prose,

But everything's just like it was before.

There's one thing though,

I do new now

I take a little pill daily,

To sleep somehow.
