Who summons these clouds,

To the summits blue ?

Who awakens life,

In the barren hues?

I know not but watch,

Clouds gather in rows .

Monsoon’s lively hug,

As far sight can go.

The hills are soaking.

The frogs are croaking.

When wind sings his song,

Where shall the creeks flow?

Trees sway in the wind.

Cuckoo fills his tune.

And farmers prepare

To welcome fortune.

The night life echoes

Tip tap to, tip to

As clouds strike tin roofs

On slippery toes.
