kite

I'm a kite

I fly so high, tied with a thread

Long and tight.

Soaring and flying up so high,

Wonder could I

wander through the sky.

Someone is holding the thread I tied,

Handling with care

Looking so fair

I see he doesn't want to lose

So he pulls me down and choose

Where to go and where to not.

So tiny and beautiful the world looks

Lights and sparkle everywhere

Can here a bird whisper, 

How is it going my flying friend?

I smile and answer all is well

Can wave in clouds smooth and rare.

The only thought that struck so hard

What if the thread cuts and I fall

Would I soar and fly so high?

I'm a kite 

I'm stuck in a branch

Wonder could I wander again through the sky.
