Indian Culture
Indian Culture
There was no one ever bored
When India was young and bright
Long before the British ruled
We always shone with light
We had a prodigious tradition
We had a unique culture
We had everything we loved and needed
But what happened now and why.
We never thought we would
We never thought we could
We never knew one what stood
Could be hiding its face in a hood.
Don't know what it is
It is already long forgotten
What used to be a famous tiger
Is now hiding in its den
Your father and your mother
And even your grandparents
Enjoy it everywhere
With no place to spare
It is our culture
More beautiful than a cats purr
We have to bring it back
Cause that’s one thing we lack
But now, Everything is lost
Though it's not a cost
I’ll tell you some cultures
That stood out and lures
We had a show called Bommalattam
Which Is Tamil for Puppet show
It was widely used in the olden days
But now, rarely seen is the beautiful face
We used natural ingredients for our food
It was our medicine
Every cure was at home
No doctors prescribing medicine
Now for every illness
It's a must to go to the doctor
We need medicine so much
That we can’t live without a bunch
Millets, Ragi, Bajra, Corn
For breakfast, Lunch and dinner
Now Pizza fries and burger
And nothing but fast-food
Even though it's not good
We eat them nearly every week
We go everywhere and seek
Though they make us weak
We used to play with Friends
But now, Gadgets are the trend
We always farmed back then
But now fitness is the fashion
We had a lovely culture
But we lost it all
We have to bring it back
Cause that’s one thing we lack
