I Took It Easy

Was it my failure?

Because I took it easy when

I could not score good marks

I woke up at two in night

From a sweating dream

And dogs were barking outside

Was it my failure?

Because I took it easy when

I got a skin cut from razor

I cut extra nail of my finger

Water was finished from the tap

My uniform was not ironed

Was it my failure?

Because I took it easy when

I slipped in the kitchen

My coffee cup broke in morning

My toast was burnt

Milk poured on my book

And a black cat crossed my path

Was it my failure?

Because I took it easy when

It started hailing before my college

I reached there late

I was not allowed to enter in class

A football hit me to the ground

I got injury and tetanus injection

Was it my failure?

Because I took it easy when

My lunchbox was eaten by someone

I got punishment because of others

I lost my file and geometry box

My experiments failed in the laboratory

Was it my failure?

Because I took it easy when

My bicycle got punctured

And later on, stolen from the park

I could not watch my favourite T.V. channel

While playing cricket the glass broke

And I was scolded by my neighbour

I knew that

Sun and Moon also have eclipses

Sky has to face clouds

Raindrops have to fall to the ground

Every night is followed by the day

I took it easy

As these were not my failures
