I Am Not Sad

Tears swelled up in my eyes

Thinking of his unconditional love

His grave was a sorrowful thought

Untold words left behind

Assured vows in life killed forever!!

My children stared at me

Expecting me to assure them

After all it was their dad who died

I took a glance around

Of the crowded place

Families paying tribute the great soldier

Crying over their loss

They couldn't say GOOD BYE

Left with a heavy heart

Like me!!

A thought of the war

For which he had risked his life

Made be miserable

His hope and patriotism made me strong

I cleared my tears

Told him he was brave

Proving that I AM NOT SAD
