Happy New Year
Happy New Year
Years come and go,
Age adds up digits,
Organs depreciate,
Skin folds into wrinkles.
A question we ask in the end:
Was life worth it?
And that’s the only question that matters.
The happy moments,
The beautiful memories,
The happiness, the sadness,
The fall, the rise,
The brokenness, the redemption,
The despair, the fulfillment
Time will flow, moments will pass.
We can’t reverse the sand clock.
But we can make every moment count.
Every teeny-meeny frame a memory.
And when death awaits,
We look in its eyes and say:
I am ready for I lived a life
Worthy and fulfilling.
