Hail Guru Teg bahadur ji sahib!

Hail his martyrdom!

He the savior of the weak,

He who fought for freedom,

He taught us to be bold,

Treat equal dust or gold.

He taught us not to be greedy,

And always be ready to feed the needy.

He the bravest of all,

Who made the enemies terror-stricken

Hail Guru Teg bahadur ji!

Hail his martyrdom.

He taught to protect those,

Those who seek refuge,

Even if it costs you small or huge.

He was a true Sikh who never feared death,

To save his fellow Hindus he offered his head.

His sacrifice was supreme

He was courage’s epitome.
