Gratitude
Gratitude
I screamed and cried,
I prayed and complained,
But to no relief.
I accepted that you are a mirage,
That prejudice people created,
For hope in barren desert,
Filled with wailing cacophony.
I stopped complaining and let go,
Gratitude sowed in me, for people who were there,
It grew in me expanding into love and serenity,
For everyone and everything.
Then I saw you,
In people who pushed me to grow,
Through nature, you taught me to love,
Through failures and success you taught me perseverance,
Through pain, I learnt the value of work,
Through gratitude, you taught me bliss.
