Friends

Friends are an important part of life,

When they're around there can be no strife,

They come as a ray of light,

Making life happy and bright.

Introverts deserve friendship too,

They help when everything seems blue,

A friend brings positive vibes,

And give us something to imbibe.

Friends listen to our never ending rants,

Even when they're just repetitive chants,

They're never too busy for us,

And come when we need them without a fuss.

No other human will give us such love,

We fit perfectly like hand and glove,

They will never let us fall behind,

A friend is one of a kind.

A friend is like a twinkling star,

They shine for us even from afar,

We can do silly things together,

Knowing that we would never judge each other.

A friend could also be like a lamp that glows,

Or like a river that gently flows,

Their love for us is never ending,

With them class is worth attending.

In the back bench we sit,

Talking and laughing till the teacher sees it,

Together we stick through the punishment,

It's a memory we make though it is an embarrassment.

Even when we are having a bad day,

They know just what to say,

A friend is like gold that must be treasured,

And held close to our hearts forever and ever.
