Friends
Friends
A beautiful mystery that haunts the youth.
A relation that starts rough,
But slowly becomes true and smooth
And stays with us through the easy and tough.
Laughter, tears, joy and sorrow,
Fill the abode of this paradise
Brightens our today and creates hope for tomorrow,
As each day is filled with surprise.
Fight, shout, make up,
And still, you feel the love.
Every little tear that fills your sorrow cup,
Beckons the other to propose the peaceful dove.
It happens out of the blue,
And sweeps you off your feet.
It stays with you all through,
Come rain, hail, snow or sleet.
Ambition, money, power and fame,
Are fickle food upon a shifting plate.
But friendship remains the same,
Encouraging you to start with a clean slate.
When the whole world opposes
And its fire consumes your sanity,
This bond, a support encloses,
Filling you with courage to crush the world's vanity.
It begins when young but slowly grows old.
Other relations may come and go
But this can't be exchanged once sold.
And that is real friendship, beyond pomp and show.
So remember the golden rule of life;
Live, laugh, love
And spread friendship, not strife,
Thus fulfilling the purpose of the heavens above.
