As I watch the petals unfold,

The sweet fragrance that they secretly hold,

I remember you, as I see them today,

The relentless toil yet the smile to display.

The sky may be vast; encompassing,

for me it’s just your engaging look

The air may waft with sweet nothings

They whisper your reassurances.

The petrichor calls for many hearts to dance

While I just long to hear you speak at every chance.

The one who has lost will value precious moments

Trickling down my wobbly fingers,

storming my memories like thundering torrents
