Even diamonds have dust
Even diamonds have dust
Pure and splendidly brilliant,
Luminescent without a dent,
A diamond is said to be perfect, without a flaw,
Strong and unbreakable, even by a saw.
It is a symbol from which all hope and goodness stems,
It fosters jealousy in all other gems,
White, in color and intention,
All the other stones get envious at its very mention.
Alluring in every angle it is seen,
It makes all the other colored jewels go green,
It is said to be of great value,
Despite being plain in hue.
Many seem to forget its humble start,
Way before it was considered a piece of art,
A piece of merit-less black graphite,
Pressured on with loads of might.
We are all born of the Earth,
We should love ourselves and live with mirth,
Being unique is a must,
Because even diamonds have dust.
