Come on! get up and hurry,

Else we'll be stuck with constant worry.

Got to get the admission done,

If we are late, the seats will be none.

Even before the child is born,

Get a seat reserved, they warn.

Such is the state of today's education,

Sending kids to school is no more fun.

Burdened with the ever-rising fees,

Parents almost accept defeat.

Yet when they see their young one's face,

They straighten up, to catch up with the race.

KG was to make kids feel easy at school,

Now that's supposed to happen at playschool.

Fees exorbitant, without uniform and books,

Makes us wonder if management people are crooks.

As a parent, we have torn apart,

Between the money and our kid's heart.

We want them to fulfill our dreams,

But they want to choose a particular stream.

No matter what the kid decides to choose,

It's the parents pocket string, that's cut loose.

No wonder admission has become such a fuss,

Education today has become a money minting business.
