Diwali
Diwali
Diwali has come, sparkles are all around
I am saddened, because you aren’t here to surround
But as I see you glow, far in the sky
I too radiate, with a contented sigh
You are away, can’t see you though
I come to hug you, when the breeze blow
The fragrance I exude, people admire
If I don’t gust you, I don’t acquire
Pebbles that trouble, you in your gait
It’s me who is lying, for you to raise
The dais I am on today, able to sway
Is because you held me, sometime in your way
I do miss your being around, festivals amplify
But am gratified living, in an era you glorify
Continue to shine, from your part in the space
By accepting my wishes, do give me an embrace
