Dis-Connected!

Long before the era of smartphones,

People had just landline telephones..

It sat in a corner in a place of it's own,

Like a royal king sitting on his throne..

Special importance was given to it,

Fooling around wasn't tolerated a bit..

Whenever it rang, the family came closer,

Would talk and laugh and spend time together..

Most often stuck to a place yet it was wonderful,

People using it were really thoughtful...

There was a fixed time for people to call,

That was strictly followed by one and all..

Then came the bloody mobile phone,

It spoilt everyone's private zone...

Everybody got one of their own,

All started spending time alone...

Even people who stayed together,

Began to stray from one another...

Lots of friends were made online,

Yet nobody to call as '' truly mine ''...

So many people to share posts with,

But no connection with one's own kith...

Mobile phones have made everyone obese,

People have lost their sense and peace...

Landlines had ensured the families stayed connected,

Thanks to mobile phones everyone has become Dis-Connected!
