Cheers to Friendship
Cheers to Friendship
There are some handful of them,
Who are life's precious gems,
Through the journey, the ups and downs,
A loathsome mood they cheer with
The silhouette of a clown.
They don't stab on the back
However barbequed our heads are,
They soon mend the cracks.
These friends so full of zest,
Keep spraying insecticides
Of laughter,
On the wrecked emotions as a pest,
Which ruins the whorls of leaves
To slaughter.
There are some handful of them
Who keep sprinkling coolness of their
Words,
In this fallible life's game.
Whether the crown ornamenting
Our heads,
Or the dirt, on it sole of our feet, rests,
These mates travel through every terrain
Even with a stench of betadine during
Pain.
These buddies are the chime to our
Souls,
The jinx they excavate out in our lives
Role,
Maybe this day we are far from sight
But a phone call they would still attend,
However, coerced is their own fight.
