Canticle of the Eternal Ascetic

Canticle of the Eternal Ascetic

O Mahadeva, stoic sovereign of the infinite ages,
You abide where hush matures into primordial wisdom.
The argent crescent crowns your ascetic tresses,
An ivory sigil engraving eternity upon your brow.
From your omniscient third eye erupts the cathartic blaze,
Alchemising delusion into sacramental ash.
Serpents encircle your cerulean throat like living psalms,
Sentinels of venom you sublimed into salvific grace.
The Ganga cascades through your matted sanctum,
A wayward torrent subdued by the mass of your stillness.
You whirl the Tandava on the brink of obliteration,
Where dissolution and genesis entwine in ecstasy.
O Neelkanth, oracle of paradox and repose,
Within your abyssal calm, the cosmos learns to breathe.
You dwell in cremation grounds of thought and time,
Where ego dissolves beneath your ascetic gaze.
Trident poised between mercy, might, and law,
You arbitrate fate with immaculate detachment.
Ash-smeared limbs hymn the gospel of impermanence,
Teaching the world the elegance of renunciation.
Mount Kailasa rises from your silence like truth,
Unshaken by storm, seduction, or fear.
O anchor of annihilation and genesis alike,
In your stillness, eternity remembers itself.
