Brown Curtains

Brown Curtains

The brown curtains on the wall,

Decorated with flowers, stand tall.

With a cool face inside,

Are fighting with the warmth outside.

The sun tries to hit them,

The wind tries to, move them.

But there they stand in stillness,

To witness the children play in happiness.

A mother shades her child in her presence,

But the brown curtains shade her child in her absence.
