Birthday Wish

It was her birthday

and she knew there'd be none

as in this busy world

everyone is so occupied.

Then that night itself,

the door bell rang.

It was late that night though,

it was a familiar face rather a close one

about whom she didn't even think of.

Everything was so out of the blue

that everything was drifting apart except

the fact that someone was standing in front of her.

She was still, the blank space was gone.

She was experiencing that moment

for which she didn't know about.

It was late that night.

The night was dark

But with the memories of the past and the present,

everything seemed to be bright and glowing.

It was late that night

when she heard that voice

so familiar, so close

It felt like the smell of a dew drop in the dawn.

Everything was sparkling

even in the darkness,

even in the seclusion

that the night itself was envy of it.

Lastly it was late that night

that girl had a dream.

Little did she know that

it was a sweet dream.

The dream that was there itself

all the time maybe in some other world

she didn't know
