Beyond The Blue Yonder

Beyond The Blue Yonder

She laid her head on the damp morning grass,

And allowed the earth to caress;

A bruised and wounded heart to recline,

As she whispered, “I am fine”.

The nightingale sang the same old song,

And the skylark added to the melody for long,

Trapped was her soul in an earthly war,

But loud was her heart in its thunderous roar!

She looked at herself with great reproach,

Wondered when her joyful days will approach,

Disheartened was she to find the wolf behind,

Tracing her every step to distort her mind.

She looked up at the cerulean sky,

And observed a dove fly by,

At that moment she began to ponder,

"What lies for me beyond the yonder?"
