Beautiful

Beautiful

As I look silently,

Into infinity,

Beyond time,

Ignoring the ringing windchimes,

I desire, I was 'more' beautiful.

In perpetuity,

Remaining dutiful,

I desire, I was 'more' beautiful.

My whimpering breaths, almost collapsing,

Feeble, old body, young heart,

I wish I was dancing..

I wish I could have been touched more often,

I wish I could have been loved more often.

I desire, I was a dove,

A gentlewoman, beautiful child,

Darker hair and my skin mild.

Alone, my soul, the sky with the moon full,

I desire, I was 'more' beautiful.
