The IT hub of the country

This city is and always will be my companion, my friend and my home.

Coming back home and stepping out of the Kempagowda International Airport and hearing the words “maga”, “macha” or “da” instantly brings a smile to us Bangaloreans.

The wonderful part of the city being you get to hear every language possible from Bengali to Gujarati, from Hindi to Malayalam.

The unexpected rains in the Summer followed by a cool breeze while sipping on brewing hot coffee along with a Vada to binge on is every one’s ideal Sunday.

The traffic that makes us want to pull our hair out. The roads that for some reason always have potholes in them. The constant bargaining with auto drivers as their standard line is “double meter” or “one and a half”.

At one-point Indiranagar becomes our second home because that is where we always catch up with our friends or colleagues.

And all of us at least once or twice or some of us every weekend would have definitely gone to Cubbon Park or Bannerghata Park.

Our family trips mostly consist of a drive to Nandi Hills or Wonderla, when we leave our houses early in the morning and stop at Kamat because Kamat always has the best dishes from “Bissibille bathe” to “Akki Roti” from “Ragi mude” to “Obbatu”.

And before any Festival, sending our dads to buy the beautiful smelling flowers or the delectable vegetables from our beloved Thippasandra Market.

Spending an entire day in Commercial Street or MG Road because a couple of hours doesn’t suffice.

The days when we wear the RCB jersey and go to the Chinnaswamy Stadium knowing well we won’t win but the electricity, the loyalty and magic created by us Bangaloreans is unmatched.

Wearing your fanciest outfit and stepping out to go to UB City because we all know how posh and fancy UB City is.

And despite living in this city for eighteen years, I wish to live here some more because no matter where I go or what I do
