Astounding Mother

Mom O mom, you are simply great,

I am blessed to have you in my fate. 

I still remember those days when you held my hand,

And tied my little hair with a band.

How you used to run behind me to make me eat,

And before going to bed always asked me to wash my feet.

How much you worried when I once had an injury on my head,

You looked after me and didn't let me take a step off the bed.

Your lap was always there for me whenever I cried,

Before tears appeared in my eyes you were red-eyed.

The days did come when everyone was against me,

But you were always there and again made me stand on my knee.

You prayed to the Almighty for me from morning till night,

And always supported me in every fight.

How you changed my every fear in laughter,

You are no less than God to me, you really made my life brighter.

In those examinations days when I was fully tensed,

You always awakened my inner sense.

Mom I know I have troubled you much,

Sleeping on your lap is like a visit to Dutch.

I fight with you, I get angry with you but still my love is limitless for you,

Bcz I know In this world mothers like you are very few...

I have no words to say, I just want to thank you,

And I know the result of your hard work is and will always be due....

Even if I do my best, I cannot pay for what you have done for me,

Once again thank you, mom, for filling my life with glee....
