Dear Brother,
Just for you, the lengthening shadows
Falling leaves, round our lives;
Nearer, nearer, though the ages,
Life's new spring for them arrives.
Just for you the doubt and anguish,
Of an old and affectionate age;
Dropping happy tears of sorrow,
On life's colorful, blotted page
Just for you the hopeful clinging,
To life's worn and feeble strands;
Fill the last to cease the fondness
In old age, with an open heart.
Lines of light and darkness
Thread the brass forever fair;
And the eldest of the angels,
Seems the youngest brother there.
Heart melts when I leave you,
Relationships are not perfect
Nothing is perfect
In the end affection
Is always greater than perfection.
The blotted page of my life,
Waiting for you to spray your colors:
Your warm smile washes out my tears
Make me feel blessed with thy presence
The child in me waiting to play
With stained eye and weary tear;
That had seen a sad procession.
Moving emotionless...
The rakhi is waiting for you:
Will, you come again,
To fill your place:
If the time is halt
My greyed hair and wrinkled face:
Waiting for you to see your face.
