A Seed No More
A Seed No More
It all started with one magical seed
That was just the size of a bead
It was tiny and small
But would soon grow into something beautiful and tall
First grew the shoot and the leaves
That lay the foundation for the luscious and green trees
Water filled in a cupped hand
Drizzles onto the soil and earthy land
The transparent liquid nourishes the plant
However, it can’t
Replace the bright yellow sun’s rays
That empower the little tree everyday
Suddenly something colorful blooms out of an otherwise melancholy looking bud
It's hard to believe that something so beautiful grew out of the dark and dirty mud
Soon something bright and gay
Finds its way
Towards the flower and as it flutters around
It carefully sits down
And sucks on the flower’s juicy nectar
Soon this pollen collector
Will fly away to another tree
But now young children surround the tree
They are all about to loot
The trees mouth-watering fruit
But while heartily eating this sweet food
That will put all of them in a rather happy and content mood
Nobody will ever know the story of the seed
That has now grown into this beautiful tree
