A Poem On Poetry
A Poem On Poetry
You are the light that brightens my dingy ways
You are like my beloved who often lingers and says
You twisted my life and gave it a shape like potter
I was nothing more than a lump of clay and water
To call you by any other name will be your death
It is you who can carry my bliss as well as my wrath
You are like a lady, full of words and Figures of Speech
Not all are able to get you, not all learn what you teach
You are beautiful yet difficult and not everyone’s cup of tea
You deserve an exclusive attention which is as rare as thee
