A Gift To See New Colors Around

A Gift To See New Colors Around

Dear friend, I have come all the way

Crossing the ocean, desert and sky

To listen to you speak as you pour your heart

Under the tree of neem with its shade to convoy

Do not disappoint us by giving thoughts and opinions that your mind is ready to weave

It does not recognize the multitude of colours and the beauty that lies in its’ complexity

It can only paint black and white, good and bad, be it things or people, which my eyes are tired to see

So feel safe, and set your soul loose

Give me something that I can take along, like a gift, a gift to see new colours around

With love and patience, I shall not generalize or diffuse, and see the way it originally is

Not to condense it in my mind to tell others or to serve me in the future

To let it just be, pristine and free

Someday my memory will fail, but I shall identify the colour of it, anywhere I see.
