A Festival: Exams

A Festival: Exams

With time passing by

Pages are turned fast;

Writing tendencies increase,

No matter how lengthy pages are!

It is a common scene

In every exam hall;

Players hit sixes and fours

With every coming ball.

Late night movies, Whatsapp

Receive a temporary prohibition;

Prayers increase,

Putting a lot of pressure on God.

With books being forced to habituation

And, life, full of frustration.

Facial expressions are a pleasure to notice,

From entering the hall, till leaving;

Sweaty hands, thief-y eyes and faces

Which convey "Alas!"

With dangling "Full Marks"

Or "Rasgullas" in our fate

Competition gets tougher

When friends run into bets.

In some households,

We have "vacations" to bay

Or some "atom-bomb blasts", Yes!

Then it comes, the "Result Declaration Day".

Exams are important,

Owing to a person's career,

But they are tiresome too,

As we have to study for most of the year.

Competency and competitors

Await most in this century

You have to prepare the best

Else your life would be in "khichri".
