On popular demand, StoryMirror launches daily writing prompts - a unique writing competition to challenge the writer in you on a daily basis. The instructions for this 31 days writing prompt competition are pretty simple: write a story or a poem combining different elements of the picture in banner or whatever interpretation you have to draw from the image in the banner above. It can be serious or crazy or funny or wild. Don't limit your imagination. Let it explode and write whatever strikes you.

So get ready. Spark up your imagination and paint the world in your words. Everyday be ready for a different prompt and write your heart out.

Rules:

1. The story or poem does not necessarily have to explain the picture, as long as the picture has in some way inspired the resulting work.
2. StoryMirror will be launching a new writing prompt at 12 AM every night.
3. The picture in the banner will be the writing prompt.
4. Each prompt will be active for 48 hours.
5. All poetry types and all story types are accepted
6. There are no restrictions on genre
7. The story or poem has to be submitted through competition link only.
8. Participants should submit their original poems / stories.
9. There is no limit on the number of stories or poems to be submitted.
10. Story or Poem already submitted on https://storymirror.com should not be submitted again.
11. Decision of StoryMirror will be final and binding on all the participants
12. Articles / Essays are not allowed for submission

Prizes:

1. Top 3 best writers in every language will receive a cash reward of 500/- each. Only the writers participating in 15 or more prompts will be eligible for this cash reward. Winners will be decided basis cumulative editor scores, total views and total likes across all submissions.
2. The best story or poem in every prompt will get a StoryMirror shop voucher worth Rs. 250/-. You can redeem this voucher on https://shop.storymirror.com.
3. Best stories / poems will be featured by StoryMirror on its social media.
4. Top 10 in each language & category will receive certificates of excellence from StoryMirror.
5. StoryMirror will compile an E-Book of the best stories and poems received in all prompts received in May.
6. Winners will be selected basis editor scores, number of views and number of likes on content.

Eligibility

Writing prompts will run from May 1, 2019 to June 1, 2019

Submission Period for Prompt 4 – May 4, 2019 to May 5, 2019

Results of prompt 4 – May 15, 2019

Likes and views for Prompt 4 will be counted till May 14, 2019 11:59 PM
