Pain Of Loss Of Mother

It was 24th July when I received call from my son who informed me that my mother lost consciousness all of a sudden. There was nobody at home. I was 300 kms away. My son who is 15 yrs old was not mature enough to arrange ambulance. He was weeping and crying. Suddenly neighbours heard his cries and rushed to my home to get my mother hospitalised, but it was too late and finally I lost my mother.

I started searching for airtickets but already it was 3.30 pm and no flight was available to reach home. I was frustrated and felt as if "God" has taken away everything. I immediately boarded truck to reach home, but for my bad luck the highway was closed due to heavy landslides. I started walking few kms for more than 2 hrs when I reached a place and boarded bus to reach home. It was 11 pm when I finally reached home. There was silence and everyone present there were sad and gloomy. I could not control my emotions and tears rolled down. I was shocked and could not imagine how my sweet mother could tolerate heat of fire when cremated next day. I could not believe that there will be nobody to call me, "My dear son". I could not believe that will be nobody to call me frequently to enquire about my health, well being and also to give me lots of wishes.

I felt that there was no parallel match for my mother to fill this gap. I was lastly left with memories which I will cherish for years to come.
