Closure

“How long does it take to make a cup of tea?”

“It’s ready” She came in with hurried steps and headed to pick up her bag.

“Tea takes fifteen minutes. Lunch might take a day or even two”

“I don’t have time for this. I am already late for office”

“Yeah. Now boast yourself. You are the breadwinner for this house”

“Well, who else is bringing in the money?”

“Of course, it’s you and that lets you off the hook for killing my baby.”

“Why you have to do this every day? I had a miscarriage and the probable reason was the stress I go through.”

“Me saying the truth gives you stress, sleeping with your boss must be relieving it”

She froze. She had taken abuses, fights, everything just to save her marriage. But today, he crossed all the boundaries. This was the man she fell in love with. Tears welled up in her eyes.
