My Granny’s Favourite Things

Traditional games kit with snake and ladder were a few of my granny’s favourite time pass things.

Whenever she went to her native place she remembered her good old school friends and the gooseberry and jamun trees near her school side; they were a few of my granny’s favourite evergreen memories.

Hot tea with biscuits, and somosas were a few of my granny’s favourite food items.

Sticking pictures and newspaper cuttings in my drawing note were a few of my granny’s favourite hobbies.

Waiting till I come from school, fighting for my pillow and telling bedtime moral stories were a few of my granny’s favourite hours.

Alas! All her favourite memories and things are there with me to cherish but.............. my favourite granny is not there with me....

Oh God!!! I will return all her favourite things to you, will you return my favourite granny back to me???

Without her, her favourite sweet home looks like a piece of wasteland.....
