Innocence

Innocence has always been very tough,
For us intelligence has always been enough.
Innocence has always been considered a fool,
For it has been the most powerful human tool.
Over the brain it listens to our heart,
Which makes it a burden on our part.
As no one is simple everyone is smart,
Everyone throws innocence apart.

Everyone wants to see everywhere some logic,
No one wants to believe in some simple magic.
Overcoming brain no one listens to their mind,
Every human being is of the same boring kind.
Innocence and simplicity has now been a shame,
Abnormality and foolishness has replaced its name.
Our greatest power is now considered a non-sense,
No one in our world today desires innocence.


Innocence is now shown only in films,
In TV serials and in poet's dreams.
Innocence has now been a matter of mirth,
Everyone wants to be smart right from birth.
The world makes us think that innocents are guilty,
As in a smart world they create difficulty.
