Winters

Pining for warmth and bright sun

The dry leaves shivered

The fog panned across the meadow

Playing hide and seek with the sun

Gloved hands waved at the woolen capped faces

Footprints on the snow clad pathway

Leading onwards and announcing

The routines to begin for the wintry days

The rosy cheeks of cherubs

The cracked heels of the damsels

Wrinkled hands of the grannies

Smoky rings exhaled by men folk

Craving for some warmth in the shivery hour

An odd shrill bird breaks the tranquil winter tide

Nature braves the frigid weather

Yet humans crave for the warm pleasure !
