Women - Colonized By Orthodoxy

What is freedom? I ask to myself.

Does freedom only validates to male and male-dominated society?

Do we celebrate Independence Day just by virtue of its being Red Letter Day?

Do we really consider ourselves free from the chauvinistic stereotypes?

My heart rattles in imbroglio trying to find answers.

Today when I see Indra Nooyi, Chanda Kochar breaking the glass ceiling, I ask to myself, "Is that glass too sturdy to be broken by other women?"

My soul woes when women, also hallmarked as "Devi", are slurred and savaged in our ruthless society.

We much often hear, "Behind every successful man there is a Woman".

But where do the dignity and sanctity of women lie in the society?

Humans are the finest creation of God, I ask where does the fineness go when it comes to respecting the women?

It is good to see a caged bird, but difficult to understand its plight...
