When Your Pet Creates Weird Situation

Embarrassing things happen to everyone, and sometimes they can be so awkward that you just want to bury your head in the sand and never speak of them again. But as we all know, that’s not possible. So, in the spirit of facing our fears, I am going to share one of my embarrassing moments too.

Having a pet is a big responsibility. I didn’t realize this for a very long time. It is difficult to take them out in a multistory flat. There are separate lifts waiting for a huge amount of people to get in. People are often scared when they see a critter.

The lifts opened with a sudden thud. I saw a girl fascinated to see the white ball of fur-like creature entering. “What is his name?”, she asked.” Snowy”, I replied, holding him tight as much as I could. “Which breed?”, she asked me, while rubbing Snowy’s back. His cute little eyes stared at me. He was so excited to get down for a walk. “He is a Spitz dog”, I replied to her.

The lift moved down straight to the ground floor. I had no experience with dogs before. Before going further, let me tell you it’s my first walk with Snowy. As we walked our way out to campus. Snowy began to bounce with excitement. I wondered if I can take him far out of the campus. He dragged me towards the grasses and started sniffing. He was so happy that I couldn’t resist my feeling to walk longer with him.

I held him hard and started my walk. I met people so amazed by watching Snowy wiggle on his back in the parking area. Snowy had tremendous energy and potential to play with everything around him. He was running like the storm chases to destroy.

Snowy was so spirited that he barked at almost everyone. I soon felt kenneled by Snowy. I think I made a huge mistake by letting him out without much training.

I had his harness clutched between my right-hand fingers. It was all sweating and I saw the harness was not there. Oh my God! I exclaimed.

I saw Snowy getting over a man. I grabbed Snowy’s stick to see this. A flood of people gathered around to see his notorious act. No one could help me out. I could see Snowy grabbing him tightly. I threatened Snowy with my stick and finally got him back.

The man gazed at me furiously. He warned me to be careful while taking him out anywhere. I was embarrassed and apologized to him for the incident.

I held his harness to take him back. The over-excited Snowy was not ready to move at all. I dragged him with all my inner strengths. He was so rigid that I felt as if I was carrying a huge weight along with me.

People laughed watching me making so many efforts to make Snowy move. It made me uncomfortable. On that day my soul grew inexplicably strong to see all this. He was so difficult to move that I had to grab him in my arms and walk for a longer distance. It was exhausting for me. I should have been more careful with pets.

This incident shows that taking any action without really understanding its consequences could arise a weird situation.
