Well Settled

( Today Prakash is very confused as he is going to tell something strange feeling of him..) Prakash : Mom ….. Mom……. 

Mom: Prakash I am busy in kitchen why are you calling me? 

Prakash. : Mom I want to tell you something strange feeling of mine.

 Mom : Tell me fast ; I have lot of works to do . ( She started frying vegetables and spices in oil ; aroma of food were exciting the thoughts of Prakash…)

 Prakash : Mom why do I love to spend time with Vijay ?,why I always love to talk with him? 

Mom : Because he is your best friend. Don't ask me silly questions I have lot of work to do.

 Prakash : Ok ! i think so. ( Day passed now Prakash had grown up and completed his college degree and got his job in Bengluru and shifted in Bengluru. He had spent 24 spring seasons of life now he is in the age of marriage) 

( Telephonic conversation between son and mother ...)

 Mom : Hello Prakash can you please meet Mrs. Mehta's daughter Roshni ;as she was asking for marriage , please don't reject her because you've already rejected 10 proposals of marriage now don't do so . 

Prakash : I am not going to talk her because I am not going to marry . 

Mom: Why are you rejecting marriage proposals ,you already have high paid job, you will be well settled if you get hitched with your partner .If you have any girlfriend then tell me I will proceed further for your marriage. 

Prakash : No mom . 

Mom : Then what's the issue tell me. 

Prakash : I am not interested in girls , I am not going to hitch to girl . 

Mom: Why ?

 ( Prakash took a deep breath…..) 

Prakash : Mom I am a gay . 

Mom : What is it? Prakash : When a boy loves boy . 

Mom : Have you lost your mind? , you mean to say you are going to marry a boy , are you crazy? It is against rituals and culture, it is against society . I will not listen anymore you are going to hitch with Roshni .. You've crossed limits now.. 

Prakash : But , Mom… 

( Phone disconnected………) 

Day -1 : Mom calling…… 

Day -2 : Mom calling…….

 Day -3 : Mom calling …… 

( Prakash was deliberately disconnecting the calls as her mother was repeatedly sending her different bio datas of girls..) 

Day -4 : Mom calling…

 Prakash : Hello..

 Mom : Hello Prakash we got a new boy for you .

 Prakash : Are you serious? . 

Mom : Yes my son we got perfect boy for you . His also "that kind" ,his parents are ready for his "that type of marriage" . You know what, Mr. Sharma' s daughter Pooja is going to marry a girl , her whole family is going to marry her with her girlfriend ; today i got invitation of marriage of her. 

Mom : We thought if norms of society are changing for the sake of betterment of children so why not we ? That' s why we and your Papa has decided to hitch you with a boy. I am sending you details of him you can contact to him. 

Prakash : ok mom.

Now you think i am going to settle .Ha….ha….. 

Mom : Yes ofcourse. 

(After marriage ) 

Prakash : Mom please take a sigh of relief now I've well settled with Abhimanyu. (Prakash and his mother laughed out loud…)
