Two Friends

There were two friends who were very close to each other. They were each other's best friends. 

One day both of them had an argument and one friend slapped another. The one who got slapped wrote on the sand that today his best friend slapped him!

After some days both of them were crossing the river in a boat. Suddenly the boat overturned and the friend who was slapped fell into the river and began to drown. His friend, who was an avid swimmer, saved him and brought him to the shore. Now he carved on a stone that today his best friend saved his life.

His friend asked him that when he had hit him, he had written on the sand. Then why now when he saved him, he wrote on the stone.

His friend answered that when someone does something bad to us, we must write it on the sand so that forgiveness and time could erase it. But when someone does something good for us, we must write it on the stone so that it could be engraved on our hearts forever!
