The Wintry Night
The Wintry Night
"Hand's up mommy, the cop's got you"...shouted the next door baby victoriously, pointing his toy gun at his mother complaining about his missing chocolates from the refrigerator. Bella smirked a bit & did as she was asked to do. The kid pulled the trigger & shoot with as much pressure his cute tiny fingers could...'BRATAT'.
This view left my lips smiling but my eyes decoded my weary heart, as always. I pulled down the curtains of my window, drew the card from my nightstand to my arms & hugged it tightly. Tears rolled down from my eyes as it reminded me about the wintry night of December, 2014.
"Honey, we made it" said my love, handing me a card titled "Ryan weds Lory". I couldn't resist my tears out of happiness & jumped into his strong arms in no second. He pulled me more closely. His warmth ignited me like a wildfire in the cold winter. All I could see was his intense grey eyes which drifted my soul to heaven & my body to the comfy couch. His lub-dub got more intensified as his manly arms grasped me to his bare bosom. Cool breeze through the window had filled the air with love & the radio was playing the lines "give your all to me, I'll give my all to you. You’re my end & my beginning."
'Even when I lose, I'm winning', Ryan completed the line & put his juicy lips on mine.
The whole world seemed extremely beautiful, even the cicada's buzz sounded so sweet like the voice of nightingales. I had completely lost myself in the intoxicating smell of his body.
"BOOM"...Suddenly a huge explosive sound banged us apart. The love in the air turned to smokes. I hit myself in the back door and bounced hardly on the floor. I was searching for Ryan.
"Ryan, Ryan, Baby, Ryan. Where are you?"
"Your honey is going to get you. Don't worry. Ryan ...Ryan" ... I was shouting crazily, searching for my world with my trembling body. But there was no answer.
I heard some footsteps coming inside the room. I felt bit relaxed thinking 'my Ryan is alive.' Then I heard "BRATAT" "BRATAT" "BRATAT" ....The sound of gun drove me crazy & I tried to run to the door as quickly as possible but my legs were not even
in a condition to walk. I crawled heavily & when I reached there I found him lying on the floor. I went nearer and hugged him but his arms didn't wrap me around. I placed my head on his chest but there was no beats. I cried but his hands didn't wipe out my tears.
Terrorism turned the love into smokes, my love into corpse. It not only took my Ryan, it also took the little life growing inside me. It took my motherhood. It made me realize the cruelty of world, which can destroy any relation even without any enmity.
